- the baud 2400 setting in ati4 is just the power on default for the
- modem. when you send it a AT command afterwards it changes the
- setting. so basically if u turn the modem on and dont enter
- at commands at all, the modem will use the 2400 baud setting as
- a default setting. to change this setting just do:
- atz( to be sure u reset it)
- at&w and the new power on default baud rate will be saved to nvram
-
- the only real instance you would want the power on default to match
- the port would probably be the manual post test on the courier models
- in order to read the hardware tests as they go by, other then that
- there is little reason to change the power on default port rate
- on the sportster series.
-
- the courier test im talking about in case anyone doesnt know and
- to save replies is to open a term program (at the rate that is
- saved in nvram) turn modem off hold the voice/data button while
- turning on the modem. it will run tests on the dsp, leds, etc
- and show your current dipswitch settings. be warned that it will
- also enable remote access with no remote passwords and you should
- do a modem reset (atz) after the test runs
